Feyerabend Award went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pkfeyerabend.org\/en\/2024\/09\/16\/le-prix-paul-k-feyerabend-2024-a-la-solidarite-a-gaza-cinq-exemples-de-solidarite-humaine-a-gaza-qui-devraient-inspirer-le-monde-entier\/\">five emblematic examples of solidarity in Gaza (Palestine)<\/a>.\u00a0 Among those, three persons have lost their lives <em>because <\/em>of their courage and generosity.\u00a0 Two of them died quickly, by a powerful blow. Dr. Adnan Al Bursh, the head of orthopaedic surgery of the main hospital in Gaza, was less fortunate.\u00a0 Dr. Al Bursh\u2014 a surgeon renowned for his skills and humanity\u2014 lived the storming and evacuation of Al Shifa Hospital but decided to remain to treat the wounded in smaller and smaller hospitals.\u00a0 He kept working under relentless bombardments and unimaginable conditions of lack of basic supplies, including water and food.\u00a0 Ultimately, Dr. Al Bursh was taken hostage by the Israelis and killed slowly, over many weeks of humiliation, beatings and torture.\u00a0 This film pulls together images from his phone during the last weeks of his work in Gaza with testimonies from many others, including family and colleagues now imprisoned and possibly facing his fate:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"New testimony claims to reveal the moments that led to death of Gaza doctor\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RlNHNABA3Ds?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first 2024 Paul K.
